Jonathan has over 20 years of experience within the energy sector, and has lived and worked in the US, Europe, Asia and North Africa. Prior to joining 2Co Energy as the Managing Director of the Don Valley CCS Project in August of this year, Jonathan led the Hydrogen Energy Joint Venture in California, and was responsible for managing the $2.5 billion HECA IGCC with Carbon Capture and Storage project that is now under development by SCS Energy. He has broad experience spanning Schlumberger and BP's upstream, gas, power & renewable energy businesses.

Jonathan joined Schlumberger in 1989 as a Field Engineer working in the North Sea and North Africa, prior to joining BP. After an initial tour in Anchorage, Alaska, Jonathan spent 5 years living and working in Asia managing the gas development and multi million tonne sales for the Tangguh Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) project now in production in Indonesia. After a return to the UK to work in the Executive office for BP, Jonathan was appointed a director of BP Alternative Energy's Hydrogen Energy joint venture and was responsible for managing all the North American activities including the California based HECA project.

Jonathan attended Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, graduating with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1995 Jonathan also earned an MBA from the INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France and is fluent in both French and English.
